the story: this was my work bike, now its my best friend. i got it in 1999 from another courier, who in turn got it from another courier before him, who got it from and olympic rider (i believe the story goes) was rumored to have been build by an old polish woman (?) and has been in numerous hands. this was my work bike for years, as you can tell by the beautiful custom chipped paintjob. as for all that grey, the tubing cracked at the front of the seat cluster and was welded once. cracked again and i had Simon at Bilenky Cycles make me a "super lug" sleeve to keep it going. during the repairs it was noted that the seatpost was fused to the frame, and had to be cut out. the seat tube is now two pieces held together by a sleeve (details below). its been through many sets of components, and out of the six track bikes ive owned this is easily the best and now the only one still in my possession.
