Hello Dennis,
I check out your site on a daily basis and I thought your readers would
appreciate seeing a few pictures of my winter training machine. It is an
IRO Jamie Roy with a disc specific cyclocross fork. The frame was designed
for a road fork so the handling with this fork is kind of slow but fine
for riding in winter. The drive train is a Ritchey cyclocross crankset
with a single 40T ring, a Dura Ace splined bottom bracket and a CXP23 rim
laced to a Suzue ProMax SB 36 hole rear hub. I am using Miche 14T, 15T
and 17T splined sprockets which I choose before I go out on my workout
depending on wind and expected surface. Tires are Nokian Hakkapeliitta
studded tires or Michelin Sprint cyclocross tires when the weather
permits. I am using an Avid road disc brake with a Dura Ace brake lever.
The rear wheel was built by the wheelman at Harris Cyclery and the front
wheel is currently a spare from another bike. This is my second winter on
this bike and it does the job!!!
Regards,
Marcelo
