Dennis, Thanks for all of your efforts with this inspirational site. Without it, I would have no way of properly documenting my dream bike before riding the hell out of it.
Jonny offered up a custom built frameset as the Grand Prize for the 2005 LOTCR alleycat race in Madison, Wi , and I was lucky enough to win it. I then proceeded to upgrade and customize, collaborating with Jon to build something exciting for both of us. Polished stainless bits, fighter jet vent holes thru the top tube, and a custom built JonnyCycles stem ( not pictured/awaiting plating ). Jon also polished the Velocity Aero rims before he built the wheelset. I basically took my cue from our current Prez and his rubber stamp Congress, and spent money like there was no tomorrow.
Drawing inspiration from vintage Schwinn Paramounts, well-crafted switchblades, and the Victoria's Secret catalog, I wanted this bike to look classy, se xy, and dangerous. All of the graphics ( including the stockings, bows, lace, and logos) are painted on and were drawn and designed by me, with help from Jon.
This bike won "Best Track Bike" at the NAHBS last month........ starting out as a prize and ending up winning one of it's own.
It goes without saying that I love this bike.
