Hi - Here's a few snaps of my Frankenstein creation - Trixie The Fixie. She started life as a Raleigh Record Sprint, which I bought second hand in 1989. After two resprays, lots of new parts, and a short race season in 2005, she was facing retirement, outpaced by newfangled bikes. And then I discovered Fixing. She now sports a 42:15 fixed setup (with an option for a 16T freewheel on t'other side - but that's never been used), MTB clip-ins, and some handywork with a hacksaw on her handlebars. This winter, she'll get a new paint job, while I take off the braze-ons for shifters that're no longer needed. Without a doubt, this is my favourite bike to ride, but I've no idea why! Karl.
