Nothing fancy here; when I built this last year from a Schwinn World Sport thrift shop find I wasn't sure I'd like this fixed gear business. Now I ride it as much as my geared road bike. Other riders on group rides are invariably intrigued! Replaced the original cheesy chrome steel seatpost and ill-fitting stem. Upgraded to Cane Creek brake levers for comfort. Nashbar clipless pedals, new Vittoria tires. Basic suicide hub conversion with red Loctite and a BB lockring is adequate for now since I don't do skid stops and such. Wheels, crankset, and bottom bracket were all in good shape after overhauling and truing.

I'm from Macomb, MI, a Detroit suburb.
