My first post and my first fixie build. After 35 years of riding multi-geared bikes, it was time to get fixed.

This bike began life as a 61 cm 2006 Gary Fisher Triton. The frame is powder-coated in metallic black -- my poor photo skills don't do it justice. Many parts are original, others are from the parts bin, and some are new. Swapped and tweaked various components until the whole is greater than the sum of parts.

Bits of note: Soma stem and levers, TransX bars, Schwalbe Stelvio 25 mm tires, Fizik Aliante saddle, Easton post, MKS chain tensioners (way cool), Bontrager track cranks 44t. EAI cog is 18, 17, or 16, depending on the season; Milwaukee lock ring, Izumi chain. Two Cane Creek 200SL brakes for the hills, group rides, and dependents.

I usually ride a 65 cm frame -- but this bike fits fine with the pursuit bars and riser stem. It rides like a dream.

Thanks to North Rim Adventure Sports in Chico CA, Exeter Cycles in Exeter NH, and Adams Avenue Cycles in San Diego for the stuff and the counseling.

Thanks for the great site and the daily inspiration!
