hello Dennis once again. My 4th submission to the gallery. My second Raleigh. This time I went all out and did a full overhaul. The first picture is not the original bike, it is basically what the original looked like just way more rusty and gross. I started by grinding and sanding the frame down. Bare metal was left, then I primed, blacked and clear coated it. Put it back together with a Sachs crank running 42T chainring (from my Bianchi), Vuelta Pista wheelset w/ 16T cog. Generic Zoom stem and bars. A GT BMX plastic saddle which is pretty sweet. really awesome build, first time replacing a BB, went from a Cottered crankset to square taper Shimano BB. I found the bulk of the weight was all in the solid steel crank. tyres are 700Cx38
