I thought I share my fixedgear with you on the 100th anniversary of the Tour de France. Only 100 Scorchers were made before the Ibis Co. went out of business. They were designed much like the bike Maurice Garin rode to victory in the first Tour de France in 1903. I upgraded my Scorcher with Campagnolo hubs, Campagnolo crank, Mavic MA-2 Rims, and Avocet 35 slick tires. I also discarded the front brake and added rubber pedals, and leather handlebar grips. It's a pleasure to ride and sure draws a lot of attention for a simple bike.
