Glen Ellen, California
From the Show Catalog:
Mauricio Rebolledo is the sole framemaker and his wife, Meredith, designs each color scheme. Every bicycle is handmade in Glen Ellen, California.
"My name is Maurico Rebolledo and I am Rebolledo Cycles. I was born in California and my family is from Colombia, a country steeped in cyclling. The tri-color bands that you see on my frames are the colors of the Colombian flag. I hope these simple things encourage you to learn about Colombia and its passion for cyclling.
In 1997, I moved to San Francisco where I started a bicycle repair program for kids, which inspired me to accept a job with Trips For Kids. At the time, I started an apprenticeship with Jeremy Sycip of Sycip Designs. After reaming countless seat tubes, he was gracious enough to teach me the craft of framebuilding.
I am in love with the classic steel lugged bicycle, their blend of function and beauty. I build made-to-order framesets, including road, tract, cyclocress, and randonneuse. The bicycle is one of the most efficient and useful tools, melding that singular function with a strong and artfully embellished joint is an opportunity I relish. I hope you do too.?"
