I have no idea how i missed this site.
I picked up this Croll track bike used from a guy who raced it in the velodrome at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota. He must have felt considerable pity for me (I was pretty poor at the time) because he gave me a good deal. That was in 1996 and the bike was about 2 years old. It was built up with Suntour Superbe Pro hubs, headset and bb, a Miche crank and Cinelli bar/stem. Early on I added a Campy lever and brake. The original sew-ups lasted 2 or 3 months until flats, my bad sewing and small budget had me rebuilding the wheels with the current Campagnolo Atlanta 1996 clincher rims. For 5 years this was my only bike and it still gets the bulk of my commuting miles. The gearing is set up for flatland Minneapolis at 48x17 but i change that a fair bit (it came with a whole box of rings and cogs!).- David Reuteler - email@example.com
